At the New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce Annual Banquet on January 28, 2022, Tracey Norris earned her “Blue Coat”. The Blue Coats are a special committee of New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce organized for the primary purposes of promoting membership in the Chamber, promoting industrial and tourist development and to serve as the official host committee and goodwill representatives of the Chamber. In addition, the Blue Coats may be called upon by the Chair of the Board to assist in other functions and missions of the Chamber when it would be in the best interest of the Chamber and consistent with the purpose of the Committee.
New Braunfels has a very active Chamber Community. Blue Coats regularly attend ribbon cuttings around the community to help welcome new businesses. Established in 1919,The Greater New Braunfels Chamber of Commerce promotes the community and its economy by attracting and supporting local businesses, and protecting the interests of its members and the community. The Chamber brings together community leaders, decision makers, all types of business and industry, individuals, elected officials, and organizations to promote the civic and commercial progress of New Braunfels and the immediate area. While supporting more than 1,600 business members, the Chamber is also responsible for tourism marketing and job recruitment and retention.
